Meet the designer - Erida Schaefer
Artist and designer, Érida Schaefer and her eyewear collection OtrO originate in Brazil with her designs being very much a reflection of the joy and vibrancy of the country and Erida’s personality.
OtrO Eyewear is bold, vibrant and feminine, and is perfect for the person who wants eyewear that makes a statement and is completely unique.
Each collection by OtrO is limited edition and no two frames are ever the same.
Volume Collection
OtrO’s Volume collection is all about dramatic and chunky statement styles, with all design concepts originally hand drawn by Erida before being hand sculpted using clay to create the perfect amounts of volume and dimension. Finally the designs are handmade into the final product using Italian Mazzucchelli acetete.
Fabric Collection
OtrO’s Fabric collection are especially unique. Continuing to use her artistic talents, Erida’s prints are initially hand painted by her before being made digital and printed onto a piece of fabric which is then sandwiched between two layers of Mazzucheli acetate.
Each individual frame is made using a piece of fabric cut from a different part of the print each time, meaning no two frames are ever the same and are truly a limited edition piece.
